The resulting equation is introduced in a GIS to generate a regression map, which is added to a map of spatially interpolated residuals, resulting in a reference map.<\/p><p>To calculate a climate map for the past or future of a variable and for any single year, the following steps are necessary:<\/p><ul><li>Selection of meteorological stations that have simulated data for this period.<\/li><li>Calculation of the annual averages of the climatic variables for each station.<\/li><li>Subtract from the annual averages and the reference map to find the anomaly values for each meteorological station.<\/li><li>Spatial interpolation of the anomalies by regression tension splines.<\/li><li>Adding together the reference map of the variable and the anomaly map of the period in question to create the final map.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-gb4601-69a03b96bffa3-0-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor\" data-index=\"2\"><div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Periodicity<\/h3><div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\"><p>The methodology is completely automated and it will be repeated as new climatic data improve those already available.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-gb4601-69a03b96bffa3-0-0-3\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-last-child\" data-index=\"3\"><div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"><h3 class=\"widget-title\">References<\/h3><div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\"><p>Ninyerola, M., Pons, M. y Roure, J.M. 2007.
