Aims<\/h3>

The main objectives of the monitoring of the seven amphibian species in Sierra Nevada have been to compile an inventory of species to date, to analyse their distributions, to forecast the effects of global change on their populations, and to analyse the set of threats against them.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Method and effort<\/h3>

The samplings are based primarily on counting larvae or adults at the reproduction points, and therefore the initial effort was the search for these sites. Regardless of the presence or not of amphibians at the time of sampling, the enclaves with the potential for reproduction of these species were searched for and characterized. After the location of these points, itineraries were drawn and strategically designed nocturnal routes were followed. For the measurement of the sampling effort, the starting and ending hours were recorded.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Periodicity<\/h3>

The amphibians of Sierra Nevada were intensively studied in 2009 and 2010. Efforts will be continued for certain strategic areas, periods and species.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>
