Applicants will benefit from all the facilities provided by the Observatory to access information on monitoring protocols, climate data (Climanevada), and an extensive bibliographic compilation (Biblionevada). In return, applicants are expected to contribute the information obtained from their research to the Observatory's repositories (Linaria or Climanevada), for the benefit of all stakeholders, including Sierra Nevada managers, researchers, and the general public.
Applicants (individuals or groups, whether researchers, administrators, companies, or individuals) requesting data agree to:
- Inform the Observatory of any publications, products, or results that use the requested data and register these publications in Biblionevada (https://biblionevada.obsnev.es/add-article/).
- Cite the data used in their publications appropriately. The Observatory will provide a citation model that includes the UUID and download date of the data. If users access the data through an international repository (e.g. GBIF), they must include the citation suggested by that repository, which includes the DOI.
- Respect the data use license.
- Submit the data they have collected, along with the corresponding documentation, to the Observatory for integration into Linaria or Climanevada. Applicants will have up to one year from the publication date of their research to submit the data to the Observatory.
- Integrate any climate/environmental data they have collected with their own instrumentation into ClimaNevada.
