Natural Laboratory
Biodiversity hotspot and living laboratory for global change.
The Sierra Nevada Global Change Observatory is a joint initiative of the Regional Ministry of Sustainability, Environment, and Blue Economy of the Government of Andalusia, the Provincial Council of Granada, and the University of Granada for the research and monitoring of the Sierra Nevada Natural Area and the management of its environmental information.
Its objective is to evaluate the impacts of global change and support measures for the conservation, adaptation, and resilience of its ecosystems, the sustainable development of its resources, as well as the preservation and dissemination of its cultural and natural heritage.
